Yoga Classes
I encourage each person to tune into their own unique needs each time they come to the mat.
I offer a selection of regular weekly, seasonal and specialised classes & workshops suited to all levels of experience from complete beginners to regular yoga practitioners. I’m trained in a trauma informed approach, and my classes are centred around the core belief that a mindful yoga practice helps us to ground and connect to ourselvelves.
My yoga classes are held both in-studio, and outdoors (from Spring to Autumn!) in and around nipaluna/ Hobart and Kingston.
Currently on Maternity Leave.
Please join my mailing list for updates when I return.

Mums & Bubs
Yoga
A 6 week programme to nurture new Mums.
You can join us even if you’ve never practised yoga before, as I guide and support you, and we gently progress each week.
The classes have physical benefits such as helping you regain pelvic stability, re-strengthening, balancing hormones, and stretching and creating space where areas may have tightened during pregnancy, and postpartum with feeding, carrying and general new Mama daily life. But maybe more importantly providing support emotionally with different postures and breathwork to restore, soothe, energise and uplift.
Each class finishes with dedicated time to enjoy a hot cuppa, healthy snacks and chats in a supportive space with the other new Mums.

If you have signed up to a course or class directly with me, and you are unable to attend get in contact to let me know as soon as possible. Depending on what you have booked, you might have the option of rebooking another date.
-
Once you buy a pack you have a full year to use them, so even if you buy them at the beginning of Autumn, you can come back in Spring and use any that remain.
Frequently asked questions

I usually recommend from 6 weeks postpartum/ or 8 weeks for c-section, and speaking to your Obstetrician to get their OK to begin.
-
Bubs is free to join us as soon as you are ready, and all the way up until they are mobile. Once your little one starts actively crawling they will be taking you off the mat during class, and it’s time to move to a crawler class (I’m hoping to offer one soon!).
-
You don’t need to know, or have practised any Yoga before to come to my classes. I’ll be guiding and supporting you through each time, and offering plenty of different options for each of you depending on what feels best.
-
You can absolutely join these classes, they can help to strengthen and stabilise these specific areas. Everyone completes a brief info form before we begin each round, where you can let me know how you are travelling postpartum, and if there are specific areas that you need support and care in such as SIJ instability pubis symphisis/ abdominal separation. I’ll incorporate specific options for you throughout the classes based on this.
-
There are specific postures, and breathwork that are incorporated into these classes, specifically to help support low mood postpartum. If you have been diagnosed with Postnatal depression or anxiety, you can share that with me on your intake form and I’ll make sure you have the support you need in class each week. One of the most beneficial parts of these classes is time to connect with other Mums. After each Yoga practice we include dedicated time for a cuppa, some healthy snacks and a chance to chat and share experiences of being a new Mum.
-
The main focus in these classes, is supporting you as a new Mum, so if Bubs is happy to lie on their blanket/ stay in their capsule - we will position them in your eyeline, and leave them to chill while you practice. As we go through the class, there are postures and movements where Bubs can join you, and we incorporate some Baby Yoga movements just for them when they feel up to it as well.
-
This is your space to feel as you would at home. That means joining in the class when you can, and feeding/ changing/ soothing bub whenever you need to, you don’t need to feel like you have to leave the space to do this.
-
We have Yoga mats, bolsters, blocks and straps - all that you are going to need for these classes. You can bring your own if you prefer to.
-
Come in comfy clothes to move in, and bring something for Bubs to lie on during practice, a playmat or blanket is perfect. You might want to bring some soft toys along, or a favourite soother for them too.
